Stillness is about me,

I am alone but with many,

I walk, see and feel,

yet I am still inside,

though I here the

intricate trace of nature,

with the odd car

lending some unease,

I am still,

in another world,

and the sudden

lift off of a huge eagle

with a snake in its beak,

heading off to the trees,

over my head

brings me back to nature:

the pools of muddy water

that dogs and children

paddle in, but I need to avoid,

and then stillness slips back

as I stroll to my rhythm

composing strings of thoughts,

and intricate music with

halting intervals,

as I slide in and out

of the quiet of

my exploring soul.
