Desiderata – You are a child of the Universe: Les Crane.

As it is my birthday today I suddenly got this poem and melody in my head. I remember how we all loved it back in 1971 when it came out, and tried to find out when, where and by whom the poem was by, probably because of the strange title, we thought at first that it was part of an old Medieval manuscript, but soon found that it actually was a forgotten poem written by American poet Max Ehrman in 1913, with a chorus added by Crane (you are a child of the universe) which is sung by a choir. Crane was a very popular radio and TV host, who made one LP, with this song on it, he speaks the words (which are written over the changing background to this video. Crane won an Grammy in 1971 for the best spoken recording of the year. So please enjoy my birthday thought for you all, brought to you with thanks to YouTube and BrainyAlien1.
