Autumn whispers

As air moistens and grows cold,

the birds are in the air

coming together in

large v shaped flocks

moving north,

and the frogs are out

croaking through the night

and the plants are

beginning to green,

and the last swallow

are knifing through the air,

before they too head north;

the air is cool, not cold

pleasing against the skin

and the winds have at

dropped to a gentle,

soothing whisper

that calls in the

the wet winter months

and the flowers so bright,

along with the cold shivers.
