Let the sun shine.

the chop of the guitar,

setting up a cagey rhythm,

the drums rattle,

with the odd shimmer

from the cymbals,

and the bass rumbles

a great rhythmic melody

drives forward with hard

male vocals, with some riffs

on the saxophone,

death to the plants, the animals,

you and me babe,

you, gotta, gotta stop it

save the world,

or its death to the plants the animals

and you and me babe.

You got let the sun shine in,

let it shine on you let it shine on me,

lets stop destroying our planet,

and let the sun shine in

    • Pleasure, thanks for the comment. I got to the end of the description of the band playing, and was about to delete it all, when I got the idea of combining the choruses of two song into a song that the singer was singing, to make a far better poem. Yay for yogurt. Best wishes and blessings, Charles.

    • yes indeed, this was a strange poem that started and wasn’t working, so took approximate words from tow different songs and put them together as the song that the singer was singing, to give it some movement and meaning, and it just having been Earth day, that became the slant. We do need to love and let live to carry on, carry on yeah, yeah… Had a small operation to remove a growth from my eyelid this morning, went well, but eye area a bit swollen. Thanks for the comment. Best wishes and blessings, Charles.
