New world in the morning by Roger Whitttaker

Inn yesterdays poem, when looking for a title I suddenly remembered this wonderful song by Roger Whittaker, and used the title as the subtitle, so thought i would blog it. This song was a hit in Britain, but not the states, in 1970.

Whittaker was born in Nairobi Kenya on 22 March 1936 (and so far as I know is still alive.) and had a whole string of hits in the late Sixties and early ’70’S, including Durham Town, I don’t believe in if any more and the last farewell, he has also record many sons in German, which have been hits over there. In live performance, he often sings African traditional songs, and demonstrates all his different whistling techniques. He is famous for his intricate acoustic guitar playing and his whistling.
