Sunshine happiness.

The mountains stood out

every burned bush, every boulder,

its massive rock face lined and harsh,

while we sit drinking coffee

chatting and having breakfast,

with the sun warming us,

taking in some deep breaths of air,

sharing a joke and a smile,

a kiss, and then it is down to

the work front,

and the pristine mountains

are forgotten until this

poem begins to unfold.

    • Thanks Elle, Enjoyed writing it. I got the first line, then the words just kept on coming. Enjoy your last two blogs. I can always write well about the mountains, they are a part of me. Best wishes and blessings, Charles, 🙂

    • Thanks Sylvia, I have always liked working in images, sometimes I go the whole hog and paint the picture, but have been doing this since ’74, so have had quite a bit of practice. I have been enjoying your poetry and blog a lot as well, 🙂 . Be well, best wishes and blessings, Charles.
