Lonely creativity.

In the loneliness
of the dark,
with my light
burning bright,
fighting tiredness,
yawning, reading Margaret Atwood’s
The Door, hoping the mind
will click into gear
and that images
will begin to squeeze
out from depth of
my creation to fill
the lonely interior
of a creative being.
