The picture is there in front of us;

we see it and we read the story in it,

but do we understand what lies under the story?

    • Thanks for the comment, I remember going to a poetry reading, and one of the poets being asked”why do poets always lie!”, he eventually answered that a poet writes a poem with a specific meaning in mind, but that once it is published it is open to many different interpretations, some of which can could be seen as lies. The man was incensed by this answer, as the poet had had read the line my tongue puts the words under your tongue (or words to that effect) which this man had taken as a homosexual allusion! I did not think of the dual meaning of lies, so thanks for pointing that out, best wishes and blessings, Charles.
