Fish Eagle

A fish Eagle call split the quiet

afternoon reverie,

I looked up and there were

two Fish Eagles floating

on the breeze,

twirling round each other in

quite tight circles;

calling every now and again,

and darting in and out between them,

harassing them, were four pied crows,

who slowly drove them away,

out of my sight,

and my spirit was filled with joy

for having seen these majestic birds

for that short time.
