    • I know so many women that have suffered beatings, abuse and rape, that I could not, not re-blog it and share it. In South Africa some sort of abuse happens to women or children every 35 seconds, which is a terrible statistic. Three of my women friends have been abused, and one has been raped multiple times. Unfortunately a lot of this is gang related violence, many gangs have as one of their joining criteria that the person joining must rape a woman publicly, which is terrible. Fortunately there are now major marches and riots against this problem, so hopefully it can be stopped. It sounds like you have had a terrible life, and have survived it all. You must be an amazingly strong person, best wishes and blessings, Charles.

      • Thank you Charles for all your support, compassion and awareness. You must be a wonderful friend to the women you know who have suffered the atrocities of rape culture and misogyny. Wishing you a peaceful and enjoyable week, MW

      • I work for a charity, which strives to help people out of poverty through education, and working with the people to help improve their lives, so as to bring about change in our society. Have a great week , Charles.

    • Thanks, and sorry for the hiatus, but I was bitten by a spider on my leg, which swelled up terribly, and began to have really bad fevers with it, so have been on lots of hectic medication, and have had to sit or lie down with my leg up above hip height so have done some reading and a lot of sleeping, but seem to be out of the worst of it. Hope October goes well for you as well, best wishes and blessings, Charles.

      • Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your run in with a spider. Do you know what kind it was? My friend got bit by a brown recluse and it was nasty! Very painful and large leg ulcer. Well wishes to you! Hope you’re all healed up real soon.

      • No idea, it was small and jumped out of a box of donated books, ran up my trousers and bit me, we never found the spider, my leg swelled up, and got incredibly hot and red, then I started getting heavy leavers, with crushing headaches. I had to take a whole stack of antibiotics and penicillin, and sit and lie with my leg up above hip height for nearly a week, while it slowly subsided, now if I do to much, I feel the swelling coming back again. The doctor tried to hook me up on a drip seven times, but each time my poor old veins blew, so I had to take yet more antibiotics. Best wishes, have a great week, Charles.

      • Yikes! So sorry all that awfulness and scariness happened to you. I’m praying for your complete healing and recovery. Sending lots of caring energy your way. Get well soon! I’ll be back to check on you. MW

      • Thanks all seems to be going well, am back at work, and feel I will have enough energy to start writing again soon. Take care, best wishes and blessings, Charles. 🙂

      • Thanks, lots of kind words, am still quite worn out, fell sleep in front of the computer last night, so am still a bit wishy-washy, but watched dove,Cape Robins, a squirrel, some Egyptian Geese in their full mating plumage, and little wax bills, all congregating and eating under our big tree, I could have watched for hours. Best wishes and blessings, Charles. 🙂
