Falling into light.

Hours are piling up in the dark,

the cold is snapping at my bare feet,

work time is coming,

as I struggle to keep my eyes open

waiting for the words to flow into

the glimmer of light and the first bird calls,

and still I struggle to connect the words

into the warmth of a new day,

and address the problems of our time.

  1. Wonderful write. It is So hard to write on a schedule. For me, I am more difficult to inspire if my mind has been busy with other things. Always must find time though. It soothes the mind.

    • Thanks Sumyanna, it is difficult to fit writing in, but I so enjoy it, but with all the medication I have been on, and having to sit with my feet up, I have missed it for about 10 days. This is my 3 year anniversary of starting this blog! 🙂 Best wishes and blessings, Charles
